From the Sports Chest: Arkansas vs Georgia 2010 Football Game Program
September
18, 2010 – After a seven-year absence from live Razorback sporting events, I
took the family to Athens, Georgia to see Quarterback Ryan Mallett and the Hogs
take on the Aaron Murray and the Bulldogs. I was determined to see Mallett in
person since I had missed seeing the Darren McFadden, Felix Jones & Peyton
Hillis era. We sat in the upper level Razorback section, the very last row in
the stadium. But on this day, it was the best seat in the house. The weather
was perfect and the game certainly delivered. Georgia Bulldogs offensive
lineman Clint Boling graces the cover of the $5 official game program. I’m not
sure how Clint performed that day, but I’ll always remember the exuberant celebration
in our section when Mallett his Greg Childs for a last minute go ahead
touchdown. This game set the tone for the Razorbacks 2010 season, a season that
saw the Hogs earn the first Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game berth in
program history.
